DIGIPAK PLANNING
In deciding what I wanted for my digipak I took great inspiration from different bands that I enjoy and the strokes themselves. Specifically I love the colours used on the doors LA woman album (although they are more of the rock genre I think that their complex beats and guitar parts are similar to the Strokes) as it really jumps out to the audience as well as their staring directly into the camera was something I wanted to recreate.

I decided to focus on the fake moustache aspect as for me that is truly the crux of meaning within the music video. The moustache represents not only the false personalities which one may hide behind, but it also represents connection and friendship. Whilst I took inspiration for this from Prince which may seem to be an odd choice, the way that he is so instantly recognisable was something that really caught my attention.

The use of the moustache on the mirror represents that each time the listener opens the CD they will be confronted with their image reflected back to them with the moustache. Thus, allowing the audience to personally experience the action in the video in a similar way. Furthermore, I use the sunglasses to emphasise this mysterious sense of self consciousness. something that I got inspiration from the Blues Brothers as the sunglasses are an iconic look that again grasps the audiences attention.
