Preliminary Ideas
My main ideas for the first shot are to include this idea of projection over the protagonist herself in order to show her state of mind. This I would intercut with shots of her throughout the opening to make sure the audience sees how clear it is that this is her internal conflict.
These are my first ideas that I quickly jotted down while catching the train back to Alicante, which is where I moved from nearly 3 months ago.
-The crossing out in red is an idea that I would have used to make the story more conventional but I decided against it after sharing the idea with Ms Garrison as at the end of the day, It's a film that I think will still have reliability even if people haven't been through the exact same as me.

-The makeshift storyboard shows the main shot ideas I have for the opening itself starting with the projector scene up until the train shot.
CHARACTER + ACTOR PROFILES
TAI will be played by ISABELLA who is a close friend of mine. I think her portrayal of TAI will be very accurate as she is not only a talented actress but our relationship and characteristics reflect a lot in her character.

TAI
TAI is a young teenage girl who is trying her best to adapt and survive the world around her. She has deep rooted insecurities that affect how she reacts to certain situations.
TAI has brown/auburn hair and brown eyes. Her style reflects the 90s Delias magazine style which doesn't reflect the time period as it is set in the current day.
